So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Macs can read and write zip compressed archives, the most popular type of compressed file format used under Windows. As you’d expect, everything is automated, but here are some tricks you can employ.
Unpacking and Creating Archives
To unpack an archive, simply double-click it. The contents will automatically be extracted to the same folder as the archive file. To create an archive, right-click a file or folder, and select the Compress option.
Setting Archive Preferences
You can change the location where all zip files are extracted to and also make your Mac delete the original zip files after extraction by setting the preferences of the program called Archive Utility, which your Mac uses in the background ...
