Setting Internet Configuration Options
Mac OS 9 includes three control panels you can use to manually set up an Internet configuration:
TCP/IP enables you to set server IP address and domain name information.
Remote Access enables you to set dial-up connection options.
Internet enables you to set a wide variety of configuration options, including personal, e-mail, Web, and news information.
Many of these options are configured when you use the Internet Setup Assistant, so you shouldn't have to use these control panels to configure your Internet connection. In this section, however, I show you the configuration options in all three control panels in case you ever need or want to modify settings.
