SimpleText
SimpleText(Figure 1) is a basic text editing application that comes with Mac OS. SimpleText lets you:

Create, open, edit, and print text documents, including the " Read Me" files that come with many applications.
Open and print PICT, GIF, and other graphic format documents and QuickTime movies.
In this chapter, I tell you how to use SimpleText to create, edit, format, open, and save documents.
Tip
QuickTime Player, which also comes with Mac OS, offers more features than SimpleText for working with QuickTime movies. I tell you about QuickTime and QuickTime Player in Chapter 6.
