Activity Monitor A handy utility that shows all the processes going on in your Mac. It is located in the Utilities folder in Applications. It shows the amount of processor time being allocated to each open program and the background tasks your system is running. You do not have to learn all about it, but it can be particularly useful when deciding whether a frozen program is in fact working away all on its own, but do not be too hasty because some times even with what seems like the ‘Spinning Pizza of Death’ and the red notice saying ‘program X is not responding’ it is simply rather pushed for time to let you know and is in fact working ...
