, the San Francisco Chronicle, and other publications. He's a former columnist for MacUser, MacWeek, and Computer Currents.
John is the author of a dozen books, including Mac Mini Hacks & Mods For Dummies (Wiley), Moving to Windows Vista (PeachPit), and Mac Annoyances (O'Reilly). He's also written several books on Mac-and-Windows cross-platform networking, and other topics on Mac and Windows hardware and software.
John publishes the web site MacWindows.com
, which since 1997, has been the Web's largest news and information resource devoted to helping Macs users get along in a Windows world.
John is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the San Francisco Community College District, where he chairs the Facilities and Technology Committee.
