Appendix E. Fink Package Summary

This appendix provides a partial list of packages and tools available via Fink, the package management system. This is not a canonical list of the "best" or "most popular" packages, but merely a sample of the 2,500+ packages that are available via Fink.

All packages loaded with Fink are maintained in a separate folder hierarchy (/sw/bin). Fink downloads original source releases, patches them (if needed), configures them for Darwin, compiles them, and installs them.
