Making Your Mac More Secure
Your Mac can never be too secure. There are just too many threats out there, and too many ways that the defenses in Mac OS X can be breached.
If that sounds strange, it’s probably because everyone assumes that Macs are super-secure right out of the box. Yes, Macs are secure by default, but they’re not impregnable by any means. For example, the reason we don’t see many Mac viruses and spyware is that, yes, a Mac system isn’t as welcoming as, say, a Windows PC, but it’s also because virus and spyware authors prefer to target Windows PCs with their massive numbers of users.
