12. Organizing Windows

No matter how big your screen may be (even if you have multiple screens), there never seems to be enough room to show everything. You can minimize windows or temporarily hide them, but a more elegant solution might be to use multiple desktops.

When you first start your Mac, you’ll see the desktop displaying its wallpaper background image. Any program windows you open all appear on this desktop. If you open too many windows, your desktop becomes cluttered.

To solve this problem, you have several options:

  • Minimize one or more windows to tuck them out of sight on the Dock

  • Hide windows

  • Use Mission ...
