WHAT IS GARAGEBAND?
According to Apple CEO Steve Jobs, “GarageBand does for music creation what iMovie did for video and iPhoto did for photos—makes the creative process easy and affordable for everyone.”
GarageBand combines functionality formerly only found in different pieces of software. It combines this functionality in such a way to make us wonder why it was ever done any other way.
But trying to understand GarageBand—to really see what it is capable of—is not easy. That is because you can do so many different things with it:
Select from prerecorded loops— You can select from a library of hundreds of prerecorded loops to add to your song. You can build a song completely out of these loops, or just use them to compliment your own recordings. ...
