Abstract

The IoT or Internet of Things is gaining a set of interest due to its prevailing in our daily life. Its use is not only defined to commercial application but also in domestic use such as electric equipment, AC, washing machine, sensors, and safety locker. The Internet connectivity and easily available computing facilities provide a strong foundation for IoT services. The main idea behind this concept is the combination of network connectivity, efficient use of sensors, and optimized computing infrastructure. The communication model supported by IoT is as follows:

  1. i. Physical Device Communication
  2. ii. Devices to Online Communication (Cloud Services)
  3. iii. Device to Network Devices (Gateway, Hub, and Internet)
  4. iv. Data sharing (Back End Data Analysis)

The main hurdle in adoption of these kinds of services is security and privacy issues. Blockchain provides the solution to this problem because the use of cryptography is not constrained to an explicit field. The combination of network data usage, combination of public and private keys, and latest computing technologies makes the services safe.
