In order to develop machine learning (ML) applications, a development environment needs to be set up so that the algorithms can be deployed. For example, in order to detect fraud, we will need to load payments data into an environment, build the ML model to detect fraud, train the model using the data, and deploy it into production so it can be leveraged to detect fraudulent payments.
