6. Data Visualization
6.1 Introduction
When you need to present data to your team or when you just need a better look at what’s going on in the data, plotting is a great way to see the relationships in your data in ways that aren’t as clear from just looking at summary statistics. Here, we’ll focus mostly on the basic concepts of plotting different types of data to reveal something about the distributions that underlie the data.
We won’t cover the entire area of thought around the qualitative design of data visualizations that make representations of data both clear and appealing to laypeople.
