So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Although Macs are generally reliable beasts (especially Macs running macOS), someday your SSD (or hard drive) will die. I promise. They all do someday. And if you don’t back up your drive (or at least back up any files that you can’t afford to lose) before that day comes, chances are good those files are gone forever.
In other words, you absolutely, positively, without question must back up your files if you don’t want to risk losing them. Just as you adopt the Shut Down command and make it a habit before turning off your machine, you must remember to back up important files on your hard drive to another disk or device — and back them up often.
