Chapter 9. Web Services and ColdFusion Components

Web services and ColdFusion components are two ways of putting useful or fun widgets on your pages. In both cases, you use Dreamweaver to insert some simple code on your page. Then when your page is live on the Internet, it requests live data from a remote database application to present interactive content, such as search tools, personalized text and graphics, or even mini-applications like weather and traffic forecasts, headlines, daily specials, horoscopes, or other content that may change frequently.
