Macromedia Flash 8 Basic can be used to produce many kinds of applications. The most popular use of Flash is for applications that will be deployed over the web, although it is by no means limited to that use. Flash is finding its way to handheld devices such as cell phones and PDAs, onto public kiosks, and broadcast, and pretty much anywhere an application can be found. For Flash 8 applications to be used on any kind of platform, though, they must first be published.
