When it comes to digital books — or e-books as they’re usually called — your preferred e-reading device is likely your iPhone or, even better, your iPad with its perfectly sized screen. These portable devices are ideal for settling into a comfy spot to read a page-turner (so to speak) of a novel or some fascinating non-fiction. A reading device that you can hold in your hands is reminiscent of a physical book, so it’s the natural way to read e-books.
Then there’s your Mac. Many people are surprised to find out that the Mac comes with an app for reading e-books. The idea just seems weird, especially if you have a desktop Mac. Sure, you can rest a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro on your lap to achieve some degree of comfort while reading, but even a notebook Mac seems a tad clunky for easy e-reading.
Still, your Mac does come with the Books app (even if it’s a bit harder to find that most other apps), so reading e-books on your Mac is a thing. ...
