Chapter 14. Displays
In addition to attaching a monitor to your Raspberry Pi, there are many different output devices that can display text or numbers, graphics, or indeed just let you control a whole load of LEDs in one go. In fact, there are far too many to cover every type of display, so in this chapter, I’ll stick to the most practical and fun displays, using a variety of interfacing techniques.
LED Strips
The RGB LEDs described in Chapter 6 are just made up of three LED light emitters in one LED package. Another type of LED called addressable LEDs add a chip to the LED package.
