Chapter 15. Install the Power System
Let’s start strapping hardware to that big frame. As usual, the first thing to add is power. One reason for this is simply that power wiring is much thicker and harder to route, so we do it first and route the smaller stuff around it. Also, once we know where the power wiring goes we can arrange certain other things, like the magnetometer, away from this wiring since the high currents can cause magnetic interference.
Our power distribution system must take power from the battery and get it to the four electronic speed controllers (ESCs). The rest of the control system runs on a regulated 5V supply instead of battery voltage, so that will get wired separately.
