If you’ve ever been in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and seen one of the night parades, you’ve probably seen flambeaux (the plural of flambeau). These are the torches carried in front of the floats to light the way. While some are still burning liquid fuel, many are gas powered. A propane-fueled flambeau would consist of a fuel reservoir, a regulator, and piping to carry the gas to a burner. The traditional flambeaux are portable and human-carried. You may decide to build one like that, but our project is going to be a stationary flambeau suitable for lighting a lawn space.
