GETTING THINGS IN FOCUS

There is nothing as disappointing as looking at an image and realizing that the main subject is out of focus. You think the shot is great, and it looks good on the screen on the back of the camera, but when you get it back to the computer or print it out, the subject is soft, slighty blurry, and there is very little that can be done to fix it. Nothing can ruin a great photo as quickly as an out-of-focus subject. Picking the right focus mode, the right focus area, and the right focus point can all help in making sure that the focus is right on the subject. Understanding the roles that shutter speed and apertures play in focusing the scene will let you control what is in focus and what is not.
