In the last project, you made a simple circuit that you sewed onto fabric, but the only way to turn off your circuit was to remove the battery. Wouldn’t it be better if you had an easy way to turn your project on or off? In this chapter, you are going to learn how to add on/off switches to your circuits. You will learn a bit about different types of switches and buttons. You will also learn why electricity flows so well through some materials but not through others. Figure 3-1 shows the sample project you will be following in this chapter.
