Last year, Brett Stephens and Chris Holloway of the Houston hackerspace Tx/Rx Labs (txrxlabs.org) invited me to help with their first workshop: how to build an Arduino from the ground up. It was a huge success — all 20 participants built their own Arduino clone on a solderless breadboard and walked away knowing how to program it.
I told Brett I would steal his idea and take it back to share with the Dallas Personal Robotics Group (dprg.org), of which I’m a member. Brett not only offered to give me his detailed 67-page ...
