Dressing Facial Hair
There are malleable chin blocks for the dressing of false facial hair. The piece is secured to the block with blocking pins and blocking tape or galloon. The hair is then lifted, cut to the length and shape required if necessary, curled with hot moustache tongs and combed into shape.
Special moustache tongs are used, which come in several sizes. They need a specific type of heater; some have only one heater, some have two, one hotter than the other. These tongs require practice and skill to use. They are held in the hand as shown. Hair is quite resilient and can withstand a lot of heat. Therefore, the tongs must be quite hot.
