ALWAYS LOOK “OUTSIDE”

WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING SO BADLY THAT YOU CAN almost taste it, you are often the least likely person to know if you are really ready and if the time is right. Though you don’t need to have “all” the data, information, or paperwork in place, it is important to have many things done before you launch.

The previous chapters spelled out a sequence to the way Big Wave surfers thrive. They move from the basics of swimming, to stepping into the ocean, to decing what among many choices they will do in the water. Innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups succeed in the same way. They learn the basics, head into the marketplace, and decide on their niche. So, what comes next? You take one more look “outside.”
