Marisa and I had just met. After a quick lunch in a new mom-n-pop Asian fusion restaurant, we went to my place and chatted on my thrift-shop-scavenged, mid-century modern couch. I picked it up at the local consignment shop and will resell it back to them one day. We spent the rest of the afternoon swapping stories of the ways that we learned to free ourselves from full-time employment.
Marisa came to New Mexico so that we could have this conversation and provide background for a film she is making about folks who live alternative lifestyles and reside in trailers and mobile homes.
