My passion for Making and electronics started as a kid in Russia. My father was an engineer and told me, “Never ask someone to do what you can do yourself.” We had a soldering iron and would work on making scale models of trucks and tanks in our spare time. I watched and helped, but mostly, when no one was around, I would plug in the soldering iron and melt stuff. The culture of making ran in the family. My grandfather was a tile worker who was often sent to far regions of the country to decorate apartments of bigwig politicians.
