Chapter 8. Enabling others to make difficult decisions
Successful leadership is not only what the leader does. It is also what the leader enables others to do so that they become increasingly effective in the contributions they make. Perhaps the biggest step change in leadership is when an individual moves from judging themselves by the effectiveness of what they achieve, to judging themselves by what others deliver under their overall guidance; hence the importance of developing the ability to enable others to take difficult decisions.
