Only a small percentage of people make it to the career heights they would really like to. I believe firmly that far more people could realize their dreams with just a touch more effort and a wee dose of tactical thinking. It’s worth giving some thought to why some people seem to get there more naturally than others.

Who Makes It Big?

The people who make it big in software have some very clear qualities in common. They typically all are

• Goal-oriented

• Highly emotionally intelligent

• Darned smart

• Experts in their domains

• Sensationally tenacious, usually without being impolite
