Individual performance appraisal is an evaluation of a person's behaviors and accomplishments in terms of the person's work in an organization. Performance appraisals are a source of feedback, a basis for personal development, and a determination of pay. The rise of teams presents special challenges for performance appraisal. It is difficult for a supervisor to conduct a traditional performance appraisal of an individual who is serving at least part time on a team.
