Although the discipline of core design values sets universal metrics, it does not speak to the needs and desires of specific users working with a specific product. A different set of tools is required for that problem. These tools include a collection of documents and exercises that describe the product vision in concrete terms and replace vague and shifting concepts of users with specific descriptions of their goals and characteristics.
