Skeleton Anatomy Lesson

Now that we understand how to access a single joint, it’s time to start looking at the whole skeleton. What parts of the user’s body can we track? How accurately does OpenNI’s sense of these joint positions correspond to a person’s actual body?

To answer these questions, I’ve put together a sketch that accesses every joint in the user’s skeleton. It also draws the user’s “limbs” lines that connect adjacent joints in order to display the full skeleton. I’ll start our skeleton anatomy lesson by showing you the output of this sketch with all of the joints labeled. I’ll make some observations about this illustration, noting important details that will come into play as you begin to use the full skeleton in your applications. ...
