Tip 23Manage Cross-Program Schedule Changes with Stickies

If you need to change the program’s schedule, use stickies so everyone can see who’s doing what when. You might be able to use a Gantt chart for verifying program progress. But using a Gantt to change the schedule is not enough. Make the schedule a Big Visible Chart. Manage it that way.

You can still ask your project managers to ask their people to develop inch-pebbles. Your job, along with your project managers, is to develop the schedule of handoffs so everyone can see the interdependencies.
