Although this is a four-step process, knowledge management doesn’t stop. It is a cycle. Your organization needs to capture and transfer knowledge continually. To perpetuate the knowledge management process, implement the following best practices:

  • Appoint an organization-wide knowledge management champion as well as knowledge management representatives in each department.
  • Develop long-term knowledge management goals for the organization and for each department.
  • Implement an ongoing knowledge management program across the organization to support the goals.
  • Evaluate the knowledge management program’s success.
