FIND THE RIGHT BOSS
Many managers believe that the boss they work for is the product of a completely random set of events which the HR department is somehow involved in. This is a disaster. Your boss is the single most important influence on your career.
A good and strong boss will help you levitate magically through the firm: you rise mysteriously on his or her coat tails. A bad and weak boss is likely to hide their incompetence by firing you. Your boss will lead you on the road to heaven or hell: it pays to make sure you have the right boss going in the right direction.
