The Achievement Mindset Dominates Businesses

Everyone has different ways of viewing or taking things, different thought patterns, convictions, and sense of values. These many facets of one's heart and mind are all connected. For example, how someone views things will affect their thought patterns, and how they view things is in turn influenced by their values and convictions and so on. In this manner, these facets all operate as one whole. For instance, someone who has an optimistic outlook (way of viewing things) tends to respond affirmatively to themselves and others (way of taking things), is future‐oriented (thought pattern), and places importance on enjoying things and believing in people (sense of values). In this way, the many facets of one's mind (way of viewing things, thought patterns, convictions, and values) all come in a set. They are all connected with each other and work together as a whole. This is where the term “mindset” comes from.

Everyone has different mindsets, but when people are in an organization, they tend to conform to the mindset of the majority in that group. They get influenced by the words exchanged and the culture in that organization and slowly end up having the same mindset as the majority.
