3.5.4 IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Disk and Replication Base
There are three separate installs:
Install the IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Disk and Replication Base code
Install the IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Disk
Install the IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Replication
IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Disk and Replication Base must be installed by a
user who is logged on as a local administrator (for example, as the administrator user) on the
system where the IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Disk and Replication Base will be
installed. If you intend to install IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center for Disk and Replication
Base as a server, you need the following required system privileges, called user rights, to
successfully complete the installation as described in “User IDs and security” on page 48.
Act as part of the operating system
Create a token object
Increase quotas
Replace a process level token
Debug programs

Important: There are three configuration tasks left to:
Start the Agent Manager Service
Set the service to start automatically
Add a DNS entry for the Agent Recovery Service with the unqualified host name
TivoliAgentRecovery and port 80.
Tip: The Database created for the IBM Agent Manager is IBMCDB.

The Package Location for Disk and Replication Manager window (Figure 3-54 on page 86) is
displayed. Enter the appropriate information and click Next to continue.

The Information for Disk and Replication Manager panel is displayed. Click Next to continue
as shown in Figure 3-56.

The Launch Disk and Replication Manager Base panel is displayed indicating that the Disk
and Replication Manager installation wizard will be launched. Click Next to continue as
shown in Figure 3-57 on page 88.

The confirm target directories panel is displayed. Enter the directory path or accept the
default directory and click Next to continue as shown in Figure 3-58.

The IBM WebSphere selection panel will be displayed, click Next to continue as shown in
Figure 3-59.

If the Installation User ID privileges were not set a information panel stating that the privileges
needs to be set will be displayed, click Yes to continue.
At this point the installation will terminate, close the installer log and log back on and restart
the installer.
Select the Typical radio button. Click Next to continue as shown in Figure 3-60 on page 90.

If the IBM Director Support Program and IBM Director Server service is still running a
information panel will be displayed that the services will be stopped click Next to stop the
running services as shown in Figure 3-61.
