Introduction

Stakeholders’ pressures regarding greater support of human rights and natural environment, more dialogue, more disclosure about the impacts of firms’ operations, among others (Logsdon and Wood 2005) have made that firms integrate economic, social, and environmental issues in their business strategies as an attempt of doing business in a more human, ethical, and sustainable manner (Kärna, Hansen, and Justin 2003; van Marrewijk 2003).
