Enrolling Your iOS Device with Profile Manager
You can now use the Profile Manager to enroll your iOS device with your Profile Manager’s user portal. A technical note about DNS: If your Lion Server is configured with a private IP address, and you haven’t been able to configure DNS for your private local network so that your Lion Server’s host name is associated with the private IP address, don’t worry. Your iOS device that uses your private local Wi-Fi network will still be able to find your server—with most common routers, traffic will pass through your router and back into your network through NAT, but it will still work.
Another quick note: Don’t be surprised if this enrollment doesn’t work with iOS devices that have beta versions of iOS. ...
