By now you should understand that no plan is perfect, and every plan must be frequently adjusted to reflect new realities and risks. Assessment is the mechanism by which you take stock of where you are so that you can make course corrections to improve the chances that you will end up where you want to be. Assessments, at least in our context, are not undertaken to punish or blame but rather to learn and improve.
