Remote Work and the Virtual Workforce
In this chapter, I will discuss my perspective on remote working. While the COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily altered the way we work, I believe that it is artificial intelligence (AI) that is fundamentally changing the nature of work, including where and how we do it. The concept of work is being redefined by AI, and it will be interesting to see if it ultimately matters where we are physically located. Additionally, the pace at which this new type of work is being adopted is remarkable. We will also see the emergence of new categories of workers, which I refer to as work beings.
