• How to take actions with a sense of urgency
• How to make planned adjustments
• How to react to unexpected situations and make adjustments
If the project proceeds as planned and the status indicates that everything is on track, then there is nothing to adjust. Unfortunately, planning and organizing are rarely perfect in real-world software projects. As a consequence, software project managers must be prepared to take actions to rectify problems, whether they are minor or urgent, planned or unplanned.
