Appendix: Managing uncertainty survey

PA Consulting Group (PA), in collaboration with the authors, conducted a survey of 205 senior executives from international companies and public-sector organisations in various countries and regions in spring 2011. In analysing the data, survey responses were compared with total shareholder return (TSR) for the organisations involved (92 in total).

In a follow-up to the survey the authors interviewed 13 of the 205 respondents. Those who kindly agreed to give up their time to be interviewed are listed below:
