THE concept of organizational structure is important in understanding the dynamics of DEI. Structure refers first to formal boundaries within and among parts of an organization and second to informal boundaries. Formal structure might consist of departments, such as Manufacturing or Marketing, or divisions organized around different products or geographical areas.
