Chapter 6. Balance Your Accounts
Balancing your checkbook by hand is a pain, especially if you have slacked off for a few months and need to catch up. It’s even worse if you’ve never been in the habit of balancing your checkbook. I know this, because I used to be one of those people. For me, one of the biggest benefits of using Quicken to balance my checkbook was that a chore that often took an hour to do by hand became easy to do in just a few minutes. If you use online banking and turn on Quicken’s Auto-Reconcile feature, it can even do the account balancing for you.
