Another book, in fact another book about change management. At this point you may be feeling a little sceptical. After all, there are hundreds of books on change out there. Is there really a role for another book on change? Yes. I am certain there is for two reasons: most books ignore a key audience and they do not talk to the messy reality of organisations.

I have made four assumptions about the reader of this book. The first is that you are a team leader in an organisation of some complexity – that could be a business, a not-for-profit or part of the public sector.
