Fondex was sold in February 2000 to a British listed company. For Fondex, the purpose of the sale was a safer future for the company and funds for continued growth; it meant that the users and customers could look forward to receiving new, additional web services and it meant satisfied investors, who had invested time and money in the company. For the buyer, The Exchange Holdings, it meant access to a management team, technology, new services, and a platform for continued expansion.
