Chapter The Duality Principle—the essential link between the design intent and the verification of the end product
Introduction
In today's modern world of mass production and the sophisticated techniques available to the ‘manufacturing and verification fields of operation’ it is essential that the communication between all factions involved in the production of a workpiece, from it's functional concept through to the end product, must be as complete as possible, without ambiguity in order to minimize any unaccountable uncertainties that may inadvertently be found, see Fig. 26.1. Compliance with the Duality Principle greatly assists in this aim.
