2.1.1 Selection Strategy

The term manufacturing processes used here represents the main shape-generating methods such as casting, moulding and forming processes, as well as traditional and non-traditional machining processes. The processes specific to this section are classified in Figure 1.6. The purpose is to provide a guide for the selection of the manufacturing processes that may be suitable candidates for a component.
