Virtual Manufacturing to Speed Up Learning

This chapter describes a particular manufacturing process known in Japanese as kisage work and in the West as hand scraping. It is a way of making very precise flat surfaces. It is extremely skillful work, and it is a very difficult technology to transfer, including to hand down the required skill to successors.
