So far, we’ve explored how each service identifies its purpose within a broader shared enterprise and how it structures its tasks and its relationships with others in the overall flow of value around the enterprise. Yet each service will also need some form of guidance to connect with that wider world, and in practice – certainly in any organization much larger than a one-man band – each service will depend on other more-specialized services to provide that guidance.
